Navigating Your Care

Insurance & Financial Information

At Hudson Plastic Surgery, we believe every patient deserves clear, transparent guidance regarding surgical costs, insurance benefits, and financial options. While elective cosmetic treatments are not covered by health insurance, many reconstructive procedures performed to restore function, repair trauma, or reconstruct tissue following disease or cancer removal may qualify for coverage.

Our experienced patient navigation team works closely with you to help verify benefits, submit necessary documentation, and ensure your care journey is as smooth and stress-free as possible.

Reconstructive vs. Cosmetic Coverage

Understanding how insurance providers evaluate surgical procedures helps clarify your potential coverage:

Frequently Asked Questions

Coverage depends on your specific health plan, out-of-network benefits, deductible, and copays. While reconstructive procedures meet medical necessity criteria, out-of-pocket requirements vary by policy.

For combination procedures (such as a functional septoplasty combined with cosmetic rhinoplasty), insurance may cover the functional portion, while the elective aesthetic component is handled out-of-pocket. We provide detailed line-item quotes prior to surgery.
